Beck Consulting has assisted government entities at all levels in preparing land use plans. In some cases Ms. Beck has facilitated the planning process. In other cases, the firm has been retained to research and write the plans. 
Cultural Historic Sustainability Team, West Yellowstone, MT
Preparation of County Growth Policies: The firm has prepared or served on teams that have prepared growth policies for the following Montana Counties; Bighorn, Carbon, Lake, Pondera, Richland, and Treasure. Trail Planning: Ms. Beck served on a team that prepared the Comprehensive Trails Plan for the City of Red Lodge, Montana. Pictograph Cave Plan: Beck Consulting was hired to design a planning process, lead an advisory group through guiding the plan development, and research and write a plan for this state park. The park, which is a prehistoric archaeological site, is also a National Historic Landmark. National Forest Planning: Beck Consulting lead a team of facilitators to plan and conduct three simultaneous collaborative roundtable meetings. The meetings were located in three states and connected by video technology. The purpose of the meetings was to gather input from interested parties (from Idaho, Montana, North and South Dakota) to guide the way in which National Forest planning would be done. Reclamation and Development Grants: The firm is currently under contract to develop projects for funding for municipalities, counties, conservation districts, and tribes under the state's Reclamation and Development Grant Program. Ms. Beck assembles relevant materials from the applicant, researches as necessary, and assembles the grant application for natural resource related projects ranging from lining irrigation ditches to developing wind power. Drought Mitigation Planning: Ms. Beck was retained by the Cheyenne Tribe to research and prepare a drought mitigation plan. Following adoption of the plan, Ms. Beck organized a training session for the tribe's natural resources section on drought. Crater Lake National Park: Beck Consulting assisted staff at Crater Lake National Park in revising the goals for their General Management Plan or GMP. The GMP is the overall planning document for the park. Sanderson Stewart: Beck Consulting served on the team to update the zoning ordinance for the city of Red Lodge. Ms. Beck served as the team's local representative highlighting issues of most concern to city residents and assisting in planning board, city council, and public meetings.
